Installations for liquefied petroleum gas are to be produced in accordance with the requirements given in the German Technical Regulations for Liquefied Petroleum Gas TRF 1996. Copper tubes have proven to be well-suited to installation in liquefied petroleum gas installations and should therefore be used as the preferred option. The quality of the copper tubes which are to be used in liquefied petroleum gas installations is assured if the tubes bear the quality mark of the RAL Copper Tube Quality Association. Wieland SANCO and WICU tubes bear this quality mark and can be used for liquefied petroleum gas installations according to the particular pressure level and in appropriate diameters. If the operating pressure is more than 0.1 bar and pipelines of larger than DN 100 are present, an inspection certificate 3.1.B as per DIN-EN 10204 should additionally be requested when ordering. For concealed or buried liquefied petroleum gas lines, coated WICU tubes can be used.
